About the role:
We are now seeking a talent bioinformatic intern to join Dr. Wei Gu's Lab. Dr. Wei Gu joined BeOne as the research chief of BeOne Institute in Nov 2022. Currently Dr. Gu’s Lab has defined strategies for the application of bioinformatic technology during drug target development process. This internship role will follow our target discovery bioinformatic strategies and further explore innovative paths with their scientific curiosity and problem-solving skills. This internship role offers the opportunity to become a full-time employee.
Key responsibilities:
The successful candidates will
Timely delivery of assigned routing data analysis, visualization, and interpretation for decision making in team.
Substantially impact discovery programs, including proposed new targets, through direct technical execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive computational insights to impact BeOne R&D.
Qualifications required:
Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. in 2027 or earlier.
The applicants should have a solid biology background, significant bioinformatic analysis experience and skills (experience with inflammatory bowel disease is a plus)
A solid record of scientific accomplishment, publication on high impact journal is a plus
Ability to independently design and execute dry experiments, interpret data, and identify appropriate follow-up strategies
Necessary Skills:
Technical skills:
Cancer dependency map analysis.
NGS data analysis: Transcriptomics data analysis including Bulk and single cell RNA-seq is a must. Genomic data analysis is a plus.
Dissect latest predictive computational model and reuse in different disease setting.
Fluent in R language. Python and cloud computing is a plus.
Communication skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Personal attributes: Proactive with great scientific curiosity
