*Job Description*
The Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning (CAEP) is a public institution directly affiliated with the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) of China. This position is based in the Environmental Investment and Financing Research Office of the Institute of Environmental Investment and Industrial Integration. The research office focuses on environmental fiscal policy, green finance, carbon finance, investment and financing for the Beautiful China Initiative, pollution and carbon reduction accounting, environmental investment and financing models, environmental investment estimation, and benefit evaluation. It undertakes major national and provincial-level research projects as well as policy development initiatives.
1. Conduct research on green finance, carbon finance, and innovative environmental investment and financing models, including data collection, data analysis, and academic paper writing. Research will focus on the following areas:
(1) Quantitative analysis of greenwashing behavior in green finance among listed companies;
(2) Big data text analysis based on ESG reports;
(3) Empirical research on the performance of environmental investment and financing;
(4) Analysis of pollution and carbon reduction pathways for industrial enterprises.
2. Participate in field investigations for local consulting projects, organize and analyze project data, and prepare research reports.
Qualifications
1. Current Master's or Ph.D. student in Economics, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
2. Solid foundation in economics, statistics, and machine learning, with the ability to conduct data analysis using relevant analytical tools.
3. Excellent English proficiency, with strong academic writing and communication skills.
4. Proficiency in data analysis software such as Python, R, Excel, and ArcGIS is preferred.
5. Experience with leading AI large language models (e.g., Claude and Gemini) and AI agents (e.g., Codex and WorkBuddy) is preferred.
6. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
7. Demonstrated research capability is preferred. Applicants with SCI-indexed publications (Q2 or above) will be given preference.
