Name of Project: AI/ML Software Engineer
Objectives:
As an AI/ML Intern, you'll have the exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of Mercedes-Benz in China by actively supporting AI innovation. You'll assist in building innovative solutions, help drive rapid prototypes, and gain hands-on experience in scaling AI technologies. You will contribute to the development and delivery of data-driven and AI-powered solutions that enhance organizational efficiencies and delight our customers.
Main Tasks:
1. Developing and deploying AI/ML models for enterprise applications (25%)
2. Contributing to intelligent assistant solutions (25%)
3. Integrating AI solutions (25%)
4. Ensuring knowledge transfer (15%)
5. Exploring new frontiers (10%)

Key Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised/unsupervised learning and generative models
- Foundational knowledge of statistics and data analysis
- Basic understanding of software development principles, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred).
- Experience in building or experimenting with AI agents, including prompt design, tool integration, or orchestration frameworks
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Interest in applying AI/ML to real-world business scenarios such as process optimization, enterprise systems (e.g., SAP), or supply chain
[Preferred:]
- Exposure to LLM application development, including RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering, or fine-tuning
- Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, Dify, Hugging Face, or similar
- Experience with TypeScript / Node.js
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with other programming languages (e.g., Java, Scala).
