This position is expected to start around May 2026 and continue through the summer term (approximately August 2026) or into Fall 2026 if available and there is an opportunity to do so.
We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships.
Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.
Responsibilities
Partner with key stakeholders across the company to identify risks to sensitive IP and collaborate with cross functional partners to mitigate those risks.
Support sensitive, complex, and confidential investigations into incidents of data loss and intellectual property theft, technology misuse, and conflict of interest.
Partner with Legal and Human Resources and other investigative/analysis functions across the company to optimize IP risk reduction and investigations.
Conduct highly sensitive, complex, and confidential investigations into incidents of data loss and intellectual property theft, technology misuse, and conflict of interest.
Collaborate with technical forensic investigators to integrate technical and human investigations into one high efficiency function.
Solve complex problems with data from multiple sources and make recommendations to leadership on the appropriate strategy.
Participate in incident response activities.
Be a member of a team working to identify, exploit, disrupt, or protect against any undermining of Tesla’s business operations.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, Information Security, Security, Political Science, International Politics, or a related field of study with a gradation date between 2026 - 2027
